Exfoliate! Exfoliate!
One of the best things you can do your your skin is regularly exfoliate! There are many different products out there all claiming to be the best for your skin, but many of them contain harsh chemicals that may have the effect of taking off more than you want!
Try this simple, and affordable exfoliating trick for yourself: Blend 1/4 c. dry cornmeal with 3/4 c rice baby ceareal (I use organic versions of these two products). Scoop 1 tbsp into a small cup and add just enough water to create a thick paste. After washing your face, apply some of this paste in a circular motion around all areas of your face for about 30 seconds, being careful to avoid eyes and mouth (it won't hurt you, it just doesn't feel good if you get it in your eyes!).
Rinse with warm water and blot dry. Notice how great your skin feels! You can do this every single day, and you can even use this on your entire body! I regularly mix a batch up and take it into the shower with me to exfoliate my entire body head to toe. It feels really great and helps your body easily slough off the dead top layer of skin cells to keep your skin glowing and healthy. It is chemical free, and safe for the environment and your skin!

Fettuccine Alfredo
This is one of the simplest dishes to prepare, but also one of the most satisfying! You don't have to use fettuccine as the pasta; I usually use penne pasta or bowties when I make this dish! This dish takes about half an hour to prepare.
First, start a full pot of water boiling. Not a tiny little pot; use a great big pot, one that holds about 3 quarts. Bring the water to a boil and add a pound of your favorite pasta to the boiling water. Add 1/4 c. of salt to the pasta and water, and bring to a gentle boil, cooking the pasta till it is firm but tender (al dente). Please note: if you're freaking out about the amount of salt being added to the water, DON'T!! This is what makes your pasta taste good. The salt does not stay in the pasta! Every wonder why the pasta at Italian restaurants tastes better than yours? This is why....Once the pasta is cooked, set it aside and mix with 1/4 c olive oil to keep the pasta from sticking together.
While the pasta is cooking, grate 1 1/2 cups of fresh Parmesan cheese, set aside. Pour 2 cups half and half cream, set aside. Start 3 tbsp butter melting in a pan. You can add a little garlic if you want (I always do, usually about 2 tbsp). Stir and brown the butter till bubbly and pour in half the cream, stirring constantly till bubbling. Stir about 1 minute at this bubbly stage, and then add half the cheese. Stir constantly till this mixture thickens, then add the rest of the cream, bringing to a gentle boil, then add the rest of the cheese, stirring until thick and bubbly. At this point, you can add cut up chunks of chicken or fresh shrimp or veggies if you desire, stirring until just heated. Remove sauce from heat and add 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg, season with salt to taste (about 1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp, till it tastes good!) and grated fresh black pepper. Stir till all seasonings are combined, and pour over your prepared pasta and serve immediately. If the mixture gets too thick, add a little milk and stir gently to return it to it's creamy state! Enjoy!!
