Winter is the time to do garden maintenance such as pruning roses, fruit trees, and other perennials. But many gardeners don't realize this is an essential part of growing healthy plants, and even fewer feel comfortable taking the pruners to their beloved plants! As stewards of this planet, taking proper care of the living things around us is part of our Life Purpose. Pruning helps your plants grow stronger and healthier!
Join Master Gardener Rev. Michelle Sunday Feb. 23, 2013 from 1-3 pm for this fun informative hands-on workshop where you will learn how to confidently prune your roses, fruit trees and other perennials. We'll also discuss mulching and fertilizing, as well as good watering practices.
Bring a pair of garden gloves, dress appropriately and bring water and a hat. We'll be outside working with the plants during this work shop, so you might get dirty and cold!
Cost is $40, and you can pay in advance through the website or pay the instructor directly when you arrive for the workshop. The class will be held at Michelle's private gardens located at 8704 Milo Ct. Elk Grove, CA 95624
